Racism is defined as "pre-judging a person based on their race, ethnicity, or the color of their skin." Such as saying all people of a particular race or skin color have the same habits, I.Q., aptitudes or criminal tendencies. How unjust to classify people by race, and paint with the broad brush of disrespect. It wouldn't be so bad if racists just kept their hateful rhetoric to themselves, but they don't. They write books, they have web sites, they march in parades… they even start their own religions. Religions based on hate? Hard to believe, but we all know it's true. We have all seen the KKK burning crosses in some perverted connection to the Cross of Christ. I'm sure that will be one of the major issues they will be held accountable for when they face their Maker. The other issue that most people find to be not only offensive, but difficult to believe, is that many times these racists attempt to twist God's Word, the Bible, to claim that their hate for other races is condoned and promoted by God, Himself! Once again, the KKK and the Aryan Nation, being the most well known culprits. But these groups are miniscule in size compared to the world's largest perpetrator of racism, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, better known as Mormons. The Latter-day Saints (LDS) take a little different approach though, to spreading their particular strain of the racism plague… they keep it in their own closet. Not unlike a closet homo-sexual that hides his double life from his wife. The LDS don't teach their racism to the general public. It is taught privately behind the confines of their church doors. But make no mistake about it, the LDS church is racist to the core. Their two main sources of authority (the Book of Mormon and the Prophets and Apostles of their church) are as racist as any Aryan Nation propaganda pamphlet. They may not spew the same type or level of venomous hatred, but any form of racism is poison, some are just different flavors.

Some of their statements are crude and offensive, but please remember, I didn't make the statements. Don't shoot the messenger. Please set your preconceptions aside, and look at the quotations from the LDS leaders. All are very thoroughly documented from official LDS literature, so that you can read it for yourself. This will help you (if you are LDS) to avoid taking the "low road" and simply blowing the whole issue off by claiming "it was taken out of context." Read it for yourself. Look up the documentation. Then you will have to answer this question: If God does not condone racism… the why does the LDS Church teach it?

The Book of Mormon (BOM) was written in 1830 by the founder of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith. It actually contains very little official Mormon doctrine. But unfortunately, racism is a common thread that is woven throughout the book. As a matter of fact it is one of the main themes in the BOM. The average LDS would be shocked to hear someone make that claim. That is because they accept the BOM as being from God, therefore it must be true. If it is racist, they simply blame it on God. "He's the one who wrote it!" They have therefore become desensitized to its racist message. They read the racist comments and doctrines, but don't seem to recognize the implications of its content. Most non-LDS see the BOM for what it is; a manifestation of the wild imagination of its author, Joseph Smith. But why is it so full of racist theology? It was written by a poor Yankee boy in the 1820's, just a few years before the Civil War. A regrettable time, when slavery was still legal in this country. The country as a whole looked down on blacks and Indians. So guess who ends up being the "bad guys" in the Book of Mormon and in general LDS theology? That's right… the Indians and the blacks. What a coincidence! The basic plot of the BOM is that some Hebrews came to America in 600 B.C. and settled the continent. One group, the Nephites, were righteous. The other main group, the Lamanites, were unrighteous. This becomes the source of their racist doctrine. Evidently the LDS god figured that his people weren't smart enough to tell a bad guy from a good guy. So he decided to kill two birds with one stone. Since the Lamanites were so evil, he had to punish them for their sins. And he figured, "Why not judge them in such a way that they will not only be punished, but also outwardly branded, so that anyone can easily tell that they are wicked." So he decided to curse them with a black skin. That's right, the curse was that they were given a "skin of blackness." The LDS church used this scapegoat theology to prevent blacks from fully participating in their church until 1978. Yes, that's 1978, not 1878! Their leaders once again blamed it on God.

II Nephi 5:21 says, "And he (God) had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them."

This particular verse actually adds another ingredient to the formula. It even says that another reason that the Lamanites were give a skin of blackness, was so that that the righteous Nephites would not be attracted to the unrighteous Lamanites. So evidently the LDS not only view "being black" as a curse from their god, but it is also repugnant to the eye.

Now at this juncture, the average LDS will pull the "that was then, this is now" excuse. They will claim that since 1978, the LDS church has allowed the blacks into the "Priesthood." In their eyes, this somehow exonerates them from what is in the BOM. But allowing the blacks into the Priesthood does not change one word of the BOM. It still says that the blacks got the color of their skin as a curse from God. And unbeknownst to most LDS, the BOM even puts a time limit on the curse… eternity!

Jacob 3:5-8 says, "Behold, the Lamanites your bretheren, whom ye hate because of their filthiness and the cursing which hath come upon their skin… (8) Oh my bretheren, I fear that unless ye shall repent of your sins that their skins will be whiter than yours, when ye shall be brought with them before the throne of God." According to this passage, the BOM says that we will be judged by God, on the Judgement day, by the color of our skin!! The passage implies that the darker your skin is, the harsher your punishment will be. This statement is not only obscene, it obliterates the LDS "that was then, this is now" theory. This passage says that the "curse" will still be in effect until Judgement Day. Most theologians will agree that we don't know when Judgement Day will occur. But they also agree that it hasn't happened yet. But according to official LDS theology, it is better to stand before God with light skin, than it is to stand before God with dark skin. Maybe they should pray that their god would give them a "skin-o-meter." That way they could tell who is righteous, and who is not. Maybe they could market a good, strong, effective sunscreen. That ought to cover a few sins here and there. Now I know you think that I am being facetious, but the BOM also teaches in III Nephi 2:15, "And their curse was taken from them, and their skin became white like unto the Nephites." It says if those who have dark skin would repent of their sins, God will turn them white again! That's what is so odd about the 1978 LDS change in doctrine. They said that God lifted the curse from the blacks. Really? Then why didn't they turn white? The curse was a "skin of blackness." If the LDS god lifted the curse, then why do the black members of the LDS church still have black skin? Most LDS will try to say that the curse on the Blacks was not the color of their skin, but that the curse was that they were exempt from participating in the Priesthood. That is literally impossible, because the "Priesthood" in never even mentioned in the BOM! The BOM clearly teaches that the curse was a skin of blackness. The BOM is so satiated with racism simply because it was written by a prejudice man, in prejudice times.

Joseph Smith also taught in I Nephi 12:23, "And it came to pass that I beheld, after they had dwindled in unbelief they became a dark, and loathsome, and a filthy people, full of idleness and all manner of abominations." And in Alma 3:6, "And the skin of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark that was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion against their bretheren…"

Now lest any LDS try to accuse me of being ignorant of the facts in the BOM, let's set one thing straight right now. They will say, "If you knew half as much about the BOM as you claim, you would know that II Nephi 5:21 is not referring to Negroes. It's talking about the American Indians or the Hispanics." And they would be right. Even though the BOM says "skin of blackness" it is referring to the American Indians or possibly Mexicans. But somehow the LDS think that exonerates them. So then the BOM is not racist against Negroes… it's racist against Hispanics! Somehow I don't see the difference. Racism is racism!

Even though the BOM racism is chiefly directed towards the American Indians and Hispanics, the LDS Prophets and Apostles seemed to focus their prejudice toward those of African descent. The second LDS Prophet, Brigham Young, seemed to be especially open toward his contempt for blacks. We have quite an extensive collection of his sermons found in the LDS publication known as the Journal of Discourses (JOD). It is exactly what it sound like, a record of sermons. Right off the bat, the LDS are trained to say that the JOD is not "scripture." But I beg to differ with you. Brigham Young said (right in the JOD, Vol. 13, Pg. 95), "I have never yet preached a sermon and sent it out to the Children of men, that they may not call scripture." That would include the JOD, because that is exactly what the JOD is; a collection of sermons by LDS Prophets and Apostles, that the LDS printed and "sent out to the Children of men."

2^nd LDS Prophet, Brigham Young said, "You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, disagreeable, sad, low in their habits, wild, and seemingly without the blessing of intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. The first man that committed the odious crime of killing one of his brethren will be cursed the longest of any one of the children of Adam. Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be and the Lord put a mark on him, which is the flat nose and the black skin. Trace mankind down to after the flood, and the other curse is pronounced upon the same race - that they would be the "servants of servants;" and they will be, until that curse is removed; and the Abolitionists cannot help it, nor in the least alter that decree." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 7, Pg. 290-291)

"In our first settlement in Missouri, it was said by our enemies that we intended to tamper with the slaves, not that we had any idea of the kind, for such a thing never entered our minds. We knew that the children of Ham were to be the "servants of servants," and no power under Heaven could hinder it, so long as the Lord would permit them to welter under the curse and those were known to be our religious views concerning them." (JOD, Vol. 2, Pg. 172)

"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so." (JOD, Vol. 10, Pg. 110)

WOW! The law of God in regard to the African race is "death on the spot" for interracial marriage? And "this will always be so?" So much for tolerance in the LDS hierarchy.

Founder and 1^st LDS Prophet, Joseph Smith said, "Had I anything to do with the negro, I would confine them by strict law to their own species and put them on a national equalization." (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, Vol. 5, Pg. 218-219)

In 1838 Joseph Smith was answering some frequently asked questions. Question number thirteen was concerning slavery: "Are the Mormons abolitionists?" "No, unless delivering the people from priestcraft, and the priests from the power of Satan, should be considered abolition. But we do not believe in setting the Negroes free." (History of the Church, Vol. 3, Pg. 29)

LDS Apostle, Bruce R. McConkie said, "Those who were less valiant in the pre-existence and who thereby had certain spiritual restrictions imposed upon them during mortality are known to us as the negroes. Such spirits are sent to earth through the lineage of Cain, the mark put upon him for his rebellion against God and his murder of Abel being a black skin.... Noah's son Ham married Egyptus, a descendant of Cain, thus preserving the negro lineage through the flood. The negroes are not equal with other races when the receipt of certain spiritual blessings are concerned, particularly the priesthood and the temple blessings that flow therefrom, but this inequality is not of man's origin. It is the Lord's doing, based on His eternal laws of justice, and grows out of the lack of spiritual valiance of those concerned in their first estate." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, Pg. 527-528)

"Racial degeneration, resulting In differences In appearance and spiritual aptitude, has arisen since the fall. We know the circumstances under which the posterity of Cain (and later of Ham) were cursed with what we call negroid racial characteristics." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, Pg. 616)

"Though he was a rebel and an associate of Lucifer in the preexistence, and though he was a liar from the beginning whose name was Perdition, Cain managed to attain the privilege of mortal birth....As a result of his rebellion, Cain was cursed with a dark skin; he became the father of the negroes, and those spirits who are not worthy to receive the priesthood are born through his lineage. He became the first mortal to be cursed as a son of perdition." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, Pg. 109)

"Through Ham (a name meaning black) "the blood of the Canaanites was preserved" through the flood, he having married Egyptus, a descendant of Cain....Negroes are thus descendants of Ham, who himself also was cursed apparently for marrying into the forbidden lineage." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, Pg. 343)

"....in a broad general sense, caste systems have their root and origin in the gospel itself, and when they operate according to the divine decree, the resultant restrictions and segregation are right and proper and have the approval of the Lord. To illustrate: Cain Ham, and the whole negro race have been cursed with a black skin, the mark of Cain, so they can be identified as a caste apart, a people with whom the other descendants of Adam should not intermarry." (Mormon Doctrine, 1966, Pg. 114)

10^th LDS Prophet, Joseph Fielding Smith said, "There is a reason why one man is born black and with other disadvantages, while another is born white with great advantage. The reason is that we once had an estate before we came here, and were obedient, more or less, to the laws that were given us there. Those who were faithful in all things there received greater blessings here, and those who were not faithful received less.... There were no neutrals in the war in heaven. All took sides either with Christ or with Satan. Every man had his agency there, and men receive rewards here based upon their actions there, just as they will receive rewards hereafter for deeds done in the body. The Negro, evidently, is receiving the reward he merits." (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, Pg. 66-67)

"President Brigham Young, answering a question put to him by Elder Lorenzo D. Young in a meeting held December 25 , 1869, in Salt Lake City, said that Joseph Smith had declared that he Negroes were not neutral in heaven, for all the spirits took sides, but the posterity of Cain are black because he (Cain) committed murder." (The Way to Perfection, Pg. 105-106)

"That negro race, for instance, have been placed under restrictions because of their attitude in the world of spirits, few will doubt. It cannot be looked upon as just that they should be deprived of the power of the Priesthood without it being a punishment for some act, or acts, performed before they were born." (The Way to Perfection, Pg. 43)

"Not only was Cain called upon to suffer, but because of his wickedness he became the father of an inferior race. A curse placed upon him and that curse has been continued through his lineage and must do so while time endures. Millions of souls have come into this world cursed with a black skin and have been denied the privilege of Priesthood and the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel. These are the descendants of Cain. Moreover, they have been made to feel their inferiority and have been separated from the rest of mankind from the beginning.... we will also hope that blessings may eventually be given to our negro brethren, for they are our brethren—children of God—not with-standing their black covering emblematical of eternal darkness. " (The Way to Perfection, Pg. 101-102)

"Ham, through Egyptus, continued the curse which was placed upon the seed of Cain. Because of that curse this dark race was separated and isolated from all the rest of Adam's posterity before the flood, and since that time the same condition has continued, and they have been 'despised among all people.' This doctrine did not originate with President Brigham Young but was taught by the Prophet Joseph Smith .... we all know it is due to his teachings that the negro today is barred from the Priesthood." (The Way to Perfection, Pg. 110-111)

3rd LDS Prophet, John Taylor said, " . . . after the flood we are told that the curse that had been pronounced upon Cain was continued through Ham's wife, as he had married a wife of that seed. And why did it pass through the flood? Because it was necessary that the devil should have a representation a upon a the earth as well as God…" (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 22, Pg. 304)

"When he (Satan) destroyed the inhabitants of the antediluvian worlds, he suffered a descendant of Cain to come through the flood in order that he might be properly represented upon the earth." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 23, Pg. 336)

LDS Apostle, Orson Pratt said, " ....among the Saints (Mormons) is the most likely place for these spirits to take their tabernacles, through a just and righteous parentage....The Lord has not kept them in store for five or six thousand years past, and kept them waiting for their bodies all this time to send them among the Hottentots, the African Negroes, the idolatrous Hindoos, or any other of the fallen nations of the earth. They are not kept in reserve in order to come forth to receive such a degraded parentage upon the earth; no, the Lord is not such a being." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 1, Pg. 63)

One of the most common tactics of a person or organization that is found guilty of a crime is to shift the blame to something or someone else. Comedian Flip Wilson made a living insisting that "The Devil made me do it!" Adam blamed Eve. Germany blamed Hitler. It's human nature to not want to be found guilty of something that society finds to be abhorrent. And so it is with the Latter-day Saints.

A) It's All God's Fault

The LDS church not only refuses to repent of their racist doctrines, but they continue to print and sell the books that we've quoted, to this very day! And the reason is because they believe these books to be "Scripture." Never mind the fact that the Book of Mormon has been proven to be historically, geographically and archeologically bankrupt. And let's not bring up the fact that the Book of Abraham, in the Pearl of Great Price, has been proven to be a complete hoax. But because the LDS believe that these books were virtually written by God Himself, God is the one who becomes their scapegoat. "Don't blame us for what God said!" But the trouble is, you have not taken the time to verify your source. The evidence is easily accessible. All you have to do is look on the Internet or at your local library. It's the same advice that I would tell someone in the KKK or a member of the Aryan Nation. Stop for a moment, and verify your source. God did not author the racist doctrines in the Book of Mormon, the Book of Abraham or the Journal of Discourses, anymore than He inspired the same beliefs in the writing of the KKK.

B) It's All The Bible's Fault

The LDS are taught to insist that racism is in the Bible, too. When asked for chapter and verse, they inevitably go to the Book of Genesis and claim that God cursed Cain with a black skin for killing Abel. That one never ceases to amaze me. Genesis 4:11 & 12 clearly tells us what Cain's curse was. It says that the curse was that the earth would no longer yield a crop to Cain (he was a farmer). But Cain also cries out for mercy, because God banished him from his family. Cain claimed that everyone that he meets will now try to kill him as punishment for his crime. God then blesses him with a "mark" of some kind for his protection and announces that if anyone tries to hurt Cain, God will punish them sevenfold. So we can clearly see that God did NOT curse Cain with a black skin. His curse was that his crops would not grow. The "mark" was a blessing, meant for his protection. Nowhere in the entire chapter does it even mention black skin, blackness, negro, or any other connection to race or ethnicity in conjunction with Cain's punishment. But when you set out to prove that the Bible teaches a certain doctrine, rather than just accepting what it says at face value, you can convince the weak minded of just about anything you want. If an LDS "authority" such as a Prophet, Apostle, or even a lowly Bishop, tells the Mormon people that the mark placed on Cain was black skin… then the LDS buy into it; hook, line and sinker. Officially it is found in the Book of Moses 7:22, in the Pearl (Peril?) of Great Price. LDS consider this book to be "Scripture," and they are taught to never question Scripture or "those in authority" over them.

C) It's All The Negro's Fault

This tactic for placing the blame for their racist teachings is probably the most diabolical of the three. It is also the most complicated. It stems from the LDS belief that we all originated in Heaven. The problem though in Heaven, was that we did not have bodies. We were "spirit children" of our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. The LDS also teach that our goal is to become Gods and Goddesses. But since they believe that all Gods used to be men, we had to get physical bodies before we could "progress" to Godhood. According to LDS theology, the Head God, Eloheim, got together with the Counsel of the Gods, to "concoct" a plan to help His children obtain bodies. One of His Sons, Lucifer (the devil), offered a plan in which he would be the Savior of mankind. Jesus, one of God's other sons, offered an alternate plan. Jesus' plan was ultimately chosen over Lucifer's. As you could imagine, Lucifer was not too happy with Daddy, so he started a revolt. He convinced a third of the spirit children that his plan was better. But when Eloheim got wind of the uprising He dealt with it, with swift and firm justice. He commanded the faithful spirit children to cast the unfaithful spirit children out of Heaven. To those who accepted (and fought for) the plan of Jesus, they were promised physical bodies. To those who fought for Lucifer, the were condemned to live without bodies, for all eternity. But there was a fly in the ointment. There were some spirit children that accepted the plan of Jesus, but were either cowards or simply refused to fight in the great war. This created quite a dilemma for the LDS God. He had promised a physical body to those who accepted Jesus' plan. But what was He to do with the cowards? He decided to go ahead and give them bodies, too. But they could not be rewarded for their cowardice, so the were born… BLACK! That's right. That's no misprint. God decided to give them bodies, but not the "white and delightsome" bodies of the valiant warrior spirit children. No, He had them born into the lineage of Cain and/or Ham. So the LDS reason that some people are born black? Because they were cowards (less valiant) in the pre-existence. Do you see what I mean about this particular excuse being so diabolical? It says that you are black because you are bad. It says I can call you bad, because you are black. If you are black, then that is God's way of saying you are a coward, or "less valiant." Well, I hate to burst the LDS bubble, but the skin of human beings is darkened by pigmentation as a protection to exposure to the sun. Welcome to the 21^st century.

10^th LDS President Joseph Fielding Smith said, "Not only was Cain called upon to suffer, but because of his wickedness he became the father of an inferior race. A curse was placed upon him and that curse has been continued through his lineage and must do so while time endures. Millions of souls have came into this world cursed with a black skin and have been denied the privilege of Priesthood and the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel. These are the descendants of Cain. Moreover they have been made to feel their inferiority and have been separated from the rest of mankind from the beginning....

But what a contrast! The sons of Seth, Enoch and Noah honored by the blessings and rights of Priesthood! ... And the sons of Cain, denied the priesthood; not privileged to receive the covenants of glory in the kingdom of God! ...we will also hope that blessings may eventually be given to our Negro brethren, for they are our brethren--children of God--notwithstanding their black covering emblematical of eternal darkness " (The Way to Perfection, Salt Lake City, 1935, Pg. l0l-102).

LDS Apostle, Bruce R. Mormon historian B.H. Roberts asserted that in the pre-existence the Negroes "through their indifference or lack of integrity to righteousness, rendered themselves unworthy of the Priesthood and its powers, and hence it is withheld from them to this day (The Contributor, Vol. 6, Pg. 296-97).

LDS Apostle Mark E. Petersen expressed the Mormon philosophy concerning the doctrine of pre-existence when he stated, "Is there reason then why the type of birth we receive in this life is not a reflection of our worthiness or lack of it in the pre-existent life? ... can we account in any other way for the birth of some of the children of God in darkest Africa, or in flood-ridden China, or among the starving hordes of India, while some of the rest of us are born here in the United States? We cannot escape the conclusion that because of performance in our pre-existence some of us are born as Chinese, some as Japanese, some as Latter-day Saints. These are rewards and punishments, fully in harmony with His established policy in dealing with sinners and saints, rewarding all according to their deeds....

Let us consider the great mercy of God for a moment. A Chinese, born in China with a dark skin, and with all the handicaps of that race seems to have little opportunity. But think of the mercy of God to Chinese people who are willing to accept the gospel. In spite of whatever they might have done in the pre-existence to justify being born over there as Chinamen, if they now, in this life, accept the gospel and live it the rest of their lives they can have the Priesthood, go to the temple and receive endowments and sealings, and that means they can have exaltation. Isn't the mercy of God marvelous?

"Think of the Negro, cursed as to the priesthood.... Cain This Negro, who, in the pre-existence lived the type of life which justified the Lord in sending him to the earth in the lineage of with a black skin, and possibly being born in darkest Africa--if that Negro is willing when he hears the gospel to accept it, he may have many of the blessings of the gospel. In spite of all he did in the pre-existent life, the Lord is willing, if the Negro accepts the gospel with real, sincere faith, and is really converted, to give him the blessings of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. If that Negro is faithful all his days, he can and will enter the celestial kingdom. He will go there as a servant, but he will get celestial glory (Race Problems--As They Affect The Church, Address by Mark E. Petersen at the Convention of Teachers of Religion on the College Level, delivered at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, August 27, 1954).

But some LDS will try to say that, "We don't believe that anymore!" You mean that any common, ordinary LDS laymen, right off the street, can set the Doctrine for The Church? No. The Doctrine of the LDS Church is established by the Prophets and Apostles. When they speak, "It is Scripture." It doesn't matter what "you believe," all that matters is the Official Position of the LDS Church. And up to this point in time, these quotations establish the "official" LDS position. But if they ever change their position on a particular issue (and they have, many times), it will contradict previous Prophets and Apostles. When there is a change in doctrine, they usually try to blame God and say, "He (God) changed His mind again." But most people that believe in God, know that He did not, and does not change. He has NEVER cursed anyone with a black skin, and never will. It is time to stop blaming God for your own narrow-mindedness and prejudice.

So where do we go from here? I would say that we need to turn up the heat on the LDS church. A call to repentance. A call to admit your failures, and denounce your racist past and join the rest of the world, as we attempt to liberate the inhabitants of this planet from the poison of racism. It's time to clean the closet!

Talk about it in school, at church, at the mall. Print this article and give it to LDS and non-LDS friends and family members. Stand on the sidewalk in front of LDS churches (chapels) with a sign that says, "Mormonism Teaches Racism." If the LDS continue to resist change (because of a lack of integrity), then shame them into change. It may not be a sincere change, but it would be a start. One man or woman can change the world! Look at Moses. Look at Hitler. One man changed his world for the good, the other changed his world for evil. You can make a difference. If you don't stand for something… you may fall for anything! You can take a stand against racism, and lead others to do the same. Shout it from the rooftops if you have to, but speak forth what you know to be true. No more social couch potatoes. Do what you can, but whatever you do, do something to make this planet a better place to live. Overcoming evil with good. Speaking the Truth, in love. Before you are dead and gone, encourage your children to carry on your legacy of charity and compassion. Instill within them a desire for spiritual and social growth. And when you stand before your Maker, be able to say with conviction, "I fought the good fight of faith." The war we fight is fought not on a bloody battlefield, but in the hearts and minds of the deceived. We don't use guns and knives, but words and ideas. God's Word, the Bible, is our only offensive weapon. It teaches us that there are no races or skin color in God's eyes. No black or white people. No red or brown people. No Jew or Gentile. God simply sees us as His children or as prodigals. He sees the heart. His own Son, Jesus, was born into a minority race. Jesus was, and is, Jewish. Let us therefore see our fellow man through God's eyes. Freedom will not come overnight, but it will come. Join us as we seek to bring more light into the dark realm of racism!

If you are LDS, let this be a day or reckoning. Think! You know in your heart that racism is wrong. Listen to that still, small, inner voice and determine to effect change. Decide that from this day forward, you will not tolerate the hatred of racism, in any form. Then join us, in your own Freedom Quest!
